It’s National Punctuation Day!

Jackie alerted me to this fact, and to the tradition of creating a poem for your favorite mark, a week or so ago. Because today seemed so far off, I didn’t heed her warning until too late. It’s September 24th and I am without a punctuation poem.

Here’s what I have so far…and I’m giving up:

Oh !

how they abuse you

how they disrespect you

Oh !

you are strong enough to stand alone

in a field of letters you can elevate

Oh !

yet they mock your importance

duplicating you by twenty

So, can anyone finish this? Or do you have your own poem to share? Or just want to weigh in on your favorite punctuation mark?

Pimp My Novel reminds us why these silly little marks are so important.
